Got the VX1 recently; the rubber lid gives no click so it takes getting used to, but that's no big deal and the tamper is fine.

Replaced a ten-year-old Ninja with a VX1 and finds smoothies awful: the short blades cavitate immediately on thick frozen blends, so they constantly need the tamper, and the jar even lifted off with it.
Chose the VX1 over the 5200 because it was cheaper with a pulse switch; after two months of fine thick icy drinks it started making a very loud high-pitched screech with thicker blends, though it still works.
Has had the VX1 for about a month and really likes it: much quieter than their old Ninja bullet, the tall narrow container suits single smoothies, it has a pulse button and was cheaper than the 5200.
