Got a 4 qt Rio to try; it is a shorter 6 qt Rio with the same footprint and surprisingly handy.

Their Rio's larger, oval-ish pot is great for sautéing.
Their Rio is much worse than their other Instant Pots: it takes twice as long to reach pressure and gives far more burn notices.
Bought the Rio at Walmart for $90 and thinks it's a great model.
Returned their 4-qt Rio because it was defective; its 4-inch-tall inner pot also felt limiting for pot-in-pot cooking.
Loves the width and ease of use of their Rio Mini over the original mini, night and day, and is giving the old one away.
Loves the 4-qt Rio mini far more than the original 3-qt for its lower profile and wider cooking surface; jelly jars even fit for yogurt.
Bought the Rio after years with a Duo and found it absolute trash: it held pressure inconsistently even after replacing all the components.
Their new Rio was fine for stock but threw a burn warning on rice, and it only offers high pressure with no low setting.
After six years with a 3-qt, finds their new 4-qt Rio simpler to understand and better looking.
Their new Rio twice failed to come to pressure with chicken breasts and gave burn notices, unlike their old Duo.
Loves the size of their new Rio Mini; their 6 qt Rio was too big and heavy.
Their new Rio never boiled 4 cups of water on high sauté in 20 minutes, stuck around 190°F, while their Duo hit a rolling boil in 12.
Usually gets Food Burn making chili under pressure in their Rio, but slow cook mode worked perfectly.
Returned a Rio because it was bad.
Uses their Rio mainly to make yogurt weekly since November, and it comes out excellent and consistent every time.
Was given a new Instant Pot Rio: short ribs came out great on first use, but on the second use it sat on preheat for 15 minutes and leaked steam while set to sealing, leaving food half cooked.
Downsized to the Rio Mini after their Tefal died and is very pleased: the size suits a family of four, it heats fast and the sear beats their old Crockpot and Tefal.
Their newer Rio Mini worked fine a few times, then gave a burn warning on preheat with dal, stuck on preheat cooking rice and leaked steam while set to sealing.
Their Instant Pot Rio got stuck and wouldn't release for hours twice, so they returned it and bought the smaller Rio Mini, which suits them better.
Loves their Rio Mini more than their 5.7 L Rio, but it's rubbish at slow cooking: water pours out and they must empty the overflow several times.
Their Instant Pot Rio stopped cooking: the display works but sticks at 00:40 and the pot never heats, even after a reset and a new power connector.
Got the 4 qt Rio, loves it and gave their 3 qt to their granddaughter.
Finds the Rio Mini 4 qt the sweet spot: it has the 6 qt's diameter but is shorter, so sautéing is effective and fast and the 6 qt ring and glass lid fit; the downside is finding shallow pans for pot-in-pot.
“It has the same diameter as the 6QT but isn’t as tall, so it has more surface area to sauté ingredients before adding liquid and cooking under pressure. For this reason the sauté function is very effective and fast!”
Recently bought the 4 qt Rio and loves it: perfect for two, easy to store, a great rice function, and they use it daily after getting rid of their big clunky one.
Their Rio 4 qt is perfect for two: one cup of dal makhani fills it to the max line and gives two meals for both of them.
Replaced their Duo, which burned out after many years, with a Rio; so far so good and they don't see a big difference.
Just got a Rio 4 qt and likes it as a basic cook: only high pressure, but the steam release button is better placed and the low, wide pot is convenient for sautéing.
Has wasted six cartons of soy milk trying to make yogurt in their Instant Pot Rio, which their regular Instant Pot handles fine.
